Endometriosis

Endometriosis Endometriosis is a disease of the reproductive system in women. The lining of the uterus, called the endometrium, grows outside of the uterus. Despite not being inside of the uterus, the tissue bleeds and breaks down with every menstrual cycle. Because it’s not in the uterus, there is nowhere for the tissue to leave the body and so it continues to flare, bleed, and grow.       Endometriosis can grow anywhere in the body, but mostly grows on the ovaries, fallopian tubes, bowels, bladder, intestines, and uterus. Though it’s more commonly found in the pelvic area, there have actually been 3 cases where endometrium cells have been found growing in the brain. This constant irritation of the tissues eventually leads to adhesions and scar tissue that can cause the organs to stick together, which is extremely painful.  Symptoms include: Sharp pain Painful Bowel Movements Bloating         Pain During Intercourse Ovari...
